What happens at a repair appointment
Tell us what stopped working, when it started, and whether it affects one fixture, one room, or several rooms. You do not need to know the cause before calling.
The $295 Electrical Service Appointment includes the visit and up to the first hour of labor for troubleshooting and minor repairs. Materials are additional. If the problem can reasonably be fixed within that time, we can often handle it during the appointment.
If more labor or a larger repair is needed, we explain the findings and give you an upfront price for your approval before proceeding. Request a callback to arrange an appointment.
Problems we can help investigate
A tripping breaker does not by itself mean you need a new panel. Troubleshooting helps determine whether the problem is with an appliance, a device, wiring, or the panel before we recommend work.
A repair example from Milwaukie
A homeowner reported arcing at several outlets while also preparing for a new stove. Smiley replaced five outlets and installed a new range circuit and outlet to suit the new appliance.
Other incorrectly installed outlets and switches were identified for follow-up work. The Milwaukie project story and photos show the completed work and the additional corrections that were recommended. This was a project with several parts, not an example of everything included in a $295 appointment.
Planning a replacement or installation?
Known projects such as a panel replacement, EV charger, or rewire start with a free ballpark by phone or photo, then a project consultation and written estimate. The repair appointment is for investigating and fixing something that is not working.

What does the $295 appointment include?

A larger repair or additional labor is priced for your approval before proceeding; the appointment does not guarantee every problem can be fixed within that first hour.
Does requesting a callback book an appointment?
No. Our office calls you back during business hours, Monday through Saturday, 7am to 5pm, to discuss the problem and arrange an appointment. Call for an urgent issue rather than waiting for a callback.
What should I tell you when I call?
Tell us your city, what is not working, when you first noticed it, and whether the problem affects one device or a larger part of the home. Mention any recent changes, such as a new appliance. You do not need to open an outlet or electrical panel to investigate before contacting us.
